Icon10 I am BACK! (incoming)

Well, first the background. Several years ago, when Panerai was introduced in the US and only a handful of dealers carried the brand, I fell in love with a 113, a beautiful SS white dialed watch that was -as my SO says- 'a church watch'. It is a beautiful timepiece that I wore for a long time (here are some pics with my IWC and YG Daytona). I really liked the watch and went through the 'strap phase'....brown, black, calf, croc......you know how it goes.

After some time, I felt this was a rather large piece and the weight was interesting, so during one of my watch 'consolidation' stages, I let it go.

Somehow, Panerai was always an option and every time I walked into one of their boutiques or the AD, Panerai 'sang' to me.

I mentioned this to my AD and also how SS felt heavy sometimes; so he introduced me to the most beautiful dial on the line: the 'sandwich'. Now, as you recall, I was torn between SS and Titanium, so I tried them both and......

Here it is! My new 177! (sorry, cel phone pics ) First impression: the dial is a W O W! BEAUTIFUL! The details.....it is just beautiful! But then comes Titanium (my first Ti watch).....A M A Z I N G!!!!!! This baby weighs less than my sub! I am impressed on how gorgeous and warm titanium looks/feels; and the weight is superb!!!!!!!

Now, I am back on Panerai! Time to go strap-hunting!!!!!!

Great score! I have the 176 and love it greatly. Goes with any strap, unfortunately.

I just got mine for Christmas (present to myself). I was going to get a 351 but it just sat too high for me. I had to have the TI case b/c the weight was just a bit much (plus I like the dull Ti look)..also sandwich dial was a must so I got the 177. I love it! The first thing I did when I got it was order a custom strap. Got it yesterday. It is a Kain Heritage.
