Tried calling ADs for grey dealer prices

Has anyone tried calling a bunch of ADs offering to pay in cash for discount a little less than what the grey dealers are selling the similar new models for on TRF? Any luck?

in most cases you'll need to meet them somewhere in the middle (between gray price and retail)

Because we’ve purchased from him or Takuya and have been blown away by the service and price. It’s pretty simple actually.

From what I can tell, his prices are higher than some of his competition on TRF. Unless of course he is expecting you to negotiate. I haven't tried contacting him yet.

I think he expects a premium for his reputation. It’s not unreasonable.

^ This

However, as of late, my ADs prices have been better than TS. I've shown them lots of love, and they've shown the love back with great pricing and hard to get pieces. It's just a pity they don't have Patek.

AD in NYC I go to gives me prices very close to GM. For tudor even less than. Pretty sure he wouldn't give me the same prices over the phone though. Got to be there in person to negotiate.

Once you have dealt with him you may think different. Everything is negotiable, all he can say is No. Since I live 30 minutes from David I have met him a few times and have bought/traded a few watches. His prices are hard to beat and I have the advantage of seeing it in person which is very cool!
