15500ST grey dial or 26331ST blue dial?

My current collection consists of the Rolex Sub 114060 and AP Jumbo 15202ST. I’m looking to add another to my collection. As the title suggests, I will be put on waiting list and given the choice of either the grey dial 15500 or blue dial 26331. I love the simplicity of the 15500 and if given a chance, I would get the blue dial but unfortunately it is only reserved for their vip customers. Therefore the second choice would be the grey dial. I love how the dial shimmers under light. On the other hand, the 26331 with the blue dial is mesmerizing too. Can the watch lovers here give me advice on which watch to choose? Thanks.

15500ST grey dial or 26331ST blue dial?

Individual preference, but as a Jumbo owner with a two watch collection, my next watch would not be another SS RO.

But considering your statement that you would buy a blue 15500ST if given the chance, it sounds like don’t mind or don’t see the redundancies.

I am awaiting a black 15500 but if I had a 15202 I would not be adding a 15500 to it.
ROC or ROO would be my next move if strictly AP.

I have a grey 15500 and a black 26331. If I already had a jumbo I'd go for the blue ROC

I do find it redundant to have the blue dial 15500 but the blue on the 15500 is slightly different from that of 15202 due to its grande tappiserie dial. Anyway there is zero chance I can get the blue 15500 at retail. I do find myself leaning more towards 26331 for something different.

Given that you already have the 15202, I would choose the blue 26331 so you will have both the chrono and the simple date. In case you are concerned about the value of these pieces in the grey market, might help to check which one is selling at a higher premium. I am guessing the blue 26331 but I can be wrong. And it looks like you are leaning towards the ROC already so that helps. Will the waiting time be the same? I assume the ROC might be delivered earlier? All the best to you.

Blue ROC first then maybe you’ll be eligible for a blue 15500

Yep I agree with the others and thought the same thing, go with the chrono given your current collection. Enjoy my friend!

26331 for sure! Sporty-yet-classy kinda feel
The chrono RO would be a nice switch up in your rotation, also the blue is a different shade to your 15202.

One of my favorite APs to this date!

Definitely without stickers!! The first thing after I buy a new watch is always to take off the stickers to enjoy and admire the watch in its full glory. Those stickers are dulling the reflections bouncing off the watch.

What a beauty!! This photo just makes me sway towards getting the chrono. Now I will just patiently wait for the books to open next year and get my order in.

I will be trying to get it from the AP boutique. AP are getting to be more and more like Patek and Rolex in terms of grey market prices, especially their RO and ROC line, and even more so for the “boutique” only blue dials. I will try to get myself into the waiting list for the 26331ST.

26331-- especially given your collection, as others have said.
It's a no brainer.

Between the two I prefer the ROC... but since you have a jumbo, if it were me I'd look for something different unless you just love RO's

15500 gray. I would never buy a ROC because AP service costs are...insane for chronic.

Seems like most of the guys here are for the 26331. Hopefully I should be able to put down a deposit for it soon, according to the sales at the AP boutique, fingers crossed.
