that watch is beautiful on the strap.

just placed an order for the same strap in what watchgecko calls a red mahogany i believe

going to put it on a blue seamster pro 300M

i will add that the customer service and attentiveness from watchgecko was fantastic, i sent an email after i placed the order for the strap, asking if it was too late to ammend my order and add a few springbars that i forgot on the first try..and i received a reply email within minutes saying that it was no possible to change an existing order but that they would kindly send a few along with the strap free of charge

first rate customer service in my book, if anyone likes the strap featured in this thread, i would say order with confidence from watch gecko

The 007 62 date reference is likely because the first bond film was released in 1962
In 1962 the MOD was still called “The War Department” interestingly enough.

The original milsubs were issued via the Quartermaster or “Q” and were MOD property.
Nice historical touch !!!

If you're keen on the 007 but are uncomfortable with the $1500 premium for the mesh bracelet....there are some rather attractive alternatives:

1. Custom distressed chocolate brown gator w/MilTAT clasp.
2. STAIB mesh (although it takes some massaging to ensure proper fitment.

I'm not fully decided yet. Part of me is still thinking about a Blue or White 300M or PO 42mm....but the NTTDie is really pushing all the right buttons.

Thoughts?
I was offered it at 25% off (in the EU, where I was "stuck" during COVID) in May, merely by walking in the door of the boutique. Don't pay full retail!

The strap looks great! Do you have a link by any chance?

As far as the clasp what is the correct buckle size?

Thanks!

I had the strap custom made:

The clasp is a 16mm Miltat, however any 16mm clasp will do.

Is it unrealistic and foolish to think a OB in the states will discount this watch? I really want it, but the price seems high for what it is. But such a dope watch! And, I really want the Snoopy, so I figured buying the Bond is a good way to be in the good graces of the local OB? Lol

Yes...OB will rarely discount, and if they do, it’s not much. Factor in a hot watch they’re on purpose limiting and the movie postponements, and I’d say the best you’ll get is them eating sales tax.

An AD, that’s a different story...
