First day diving into the Rolex world

Hi All,

Went into my local AD and it seems that I have more chance of winning the lottery than finding a SS slate dial Roman numeral DJ41.

However found the above two and trying to decide between the chocolate face and the slate roman one, or do we think yellow or white gold might work better?

Thoughts anyone? I am heading back to Ad's in London on Thursday to try some more on and hopefully pick one up and join the Rolex family!

Between those two, I like the slate Roman.

I'm liking the DJ TT with Chocolate dial more and more. I even like the diamond dial more, and I never thought I would say that.

Like that brown and RG combo. Good luck and enjoy the process. Hopefully one will really jump at you and make your decision easy.

Had my heart set on the choc face from all the pictures that I looked at but when I tried it on I don't think it contrasted with my arm enough due to the dark tatts and the fact I'm quite tanned and the slate and roman caught my eye.

Still very undecided but only have until Friday to pick one up as I am an expat and want to claim the VAT back before leaving.

Slate roman all the way, classic DJ with fluted bezel & jubilee bracelet. I'm biased, just got one recently!

I personally think the slate grey, with green Roman numerals, there's just too much going on.

I couldn't live with it on a daily basis, especially if this is the main wear.

The DJ suits the Jubilee better than Oyster.

Might just be me but the chocolate looks stronger against the ink on your forearm. Nice combination, plus you get lume.

I like the RG chocolate. I always prefer stick over Romans.

I don’t like that stick either. I’d do Chocolate face. Reminds me of my kids!

The full stick dial for sure. Something doesn't look right with that Roman dial. I kind of prefer the older non-stylized roman designs, they are more legible and the bottom half numerals are right side up. And no stick!

Think I'm set on the slate and Roman numerals and now just need to decide on TT or SS with the fluted bezel.

Is the 2.5k GBP difference between the TT and SS worth it or does the TT make much more of a statement?
