If I had to narrow it down to two watches, I would want a black and a white dial. Also, I would want a piece with a date function and one without for when I don’t have time to set the date. A GMT function is also useful when traveling so I’d want that too.

My first option would be: Daytona 116500LN white + GMT master II 16710 black bezel

My second option would be : Explorer 2 polar 16570 + Sub no date 14060

Sorry for using stock pics. I don't own the first pair.

I feel like the Explorer I and II are the perfect duo. Here's my two watch collection.

BLNR and DJ41 for me.

Very happy with the pairing...but white or silver dial on the DJ would have offered a bit more diversity in retrospect.

Omega seamaster AT and Rolex exp ii 16570. Modified skx007 (not shown) gets worn when I travel to countries where theft/pickpockets are common, but otherwise I find that these two are enough to get me through pretty much any occasion in my life.Screenshot_20190505-210134.jpg

Thanks!

Impressed that you were able to land on 2 (BLRO and SkyD) based on your extensive collection!

(PS are you limited to just Rolex or do you have others (AP, ALS, PP)?)

Got a lot of great watches in this thread.

For me, it’s these two.
