Milgauss Availibility?
Hey! Long term lurker, new time poster. I’ve been researching Rolex’s for the past year in anticipation of finally joining the club (I have been saving for years), and flip flopped back and forth between a White face and a Z-Blue at my local AD for about a month. When I finally made my decision, they had... sold the white one 😔😔😔
I’ve looked at all the other models, and nothing sings to me the way the White Milgauss does... but after calling over a hundred google-able AD’s, I can’t find one anywhere. I know they are discontinued, but I had to appeal to the fine folks on this forum who have educated me over the past 16 months. Has anyone seen a White Milgauss at an actual authorized dealer recently? Location doesn’t matter, as at this point I’ll fly anywhere to get one! Thanks in advance, and thanks everyone for awesome reading material in the evenings!!! |

Any reason you won’t go for a used one from a reputable seller?

my dad has an old daytona (white face) that he bought right after they went to the zenith movement, so i’d like to add a ‘new’ one to the collection. this will be my ‘pass along to my son’ watch (i’m an engineer who’s favorite color is orange).

My AD had one last time I was in. I’ll be by there tomorrow afternoon and can check for you.

Just out of curiosity, in the three months you've been a member of TRF how did you apppeal to members for 16 months?
Not saying you didn't, but members cannot be messaged by non-members. We're you logged in by another name? Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk |

He probably lurked and read what was already posted by members in a bunch of threads. I did this often before joining. Nothing weird going on here. |

The black dial non GV is the only modern version that does not have numbers around the edge of the dial. An interesting point that’s not often mentioned. I think I prefer the white though.

nailed it. i’m not one to post too much on the internet in general (reddit, car forums, facebook, etc), so there’s several forums i visit daily but don’t have a username for... when i finally have a question (or more rarely a helpful contribution), i’ll make a username.
thanks everyone for their help, this forum has been (and continues to be) a wealth of information! |

Stopped into my AD. They have a white dial on hold for a buyer in Ohio. Is this you??
I left my name and contact info in the event that deal falls through. If so, it’s all yours. They said they will probably know by Monday. |

Not a white MG for a while, that said, there are 2 GV's sitting in 2 different AD windows in Barcelona as of 3 hours ago. Also an Explorer. Supply is not as tight as people would have you believe, except for the UK which is super tight.

I really do think the Milgauss reference will be discontinued next year. I’ve had mine for nearly 11 years...

I thought the white-dial Milgauss has been out of production for several years? I bought a pre-owned last year after being fascinated by it for an age. Kind of the only Rolex that speaks to me. Mine lives either on an orange Everest or a light tan nubuck leather strap. Frickin' love it! Good luck in your search!

If you were going back and forth, why not just go for the ZBlue? Best looking SS model IMO.

Hey guys...a question.
After posting that I saw a black one, I got a PM from someone who’s been a member for over 6 months, but has zero posts... he was asking where I saw it. Honest enthusiast? Or flipper combing posts? |

my love affair with the z blue is the reason i missed out on the white one... it’s gorgeous! however, i love the white and the orange (again, my favorite color), and i like how it’s more subdued. also a fan of a nice white face, and traveling frequently for work don’t want to attract unnecessary attention.
plus, at the end of the day... i have a hard time instantly seeing the time with the z blue, where as i can read the white across the room! |
