In search of

As many others on here do, I like to browse different watch makers and see what models they have to offer. I stumbled across this Patek, that I absolutely love the look of. The catch is, I’d rather not tie $200k into one watch. What draws me to this watch is the colors and styling. If someone on here has a recommendation of a watch with similar colorations, I’d love to hear about it.

*moderators, if this post is misplaced, feel free to move to proper forum accordingly. Sorry in advance.

Breitling has a new 2020 Chronomat watch and bracelet, copper tone dial with black sub dials. Not a classic design but rather a new take on their Chronomats from the 90s.

Not exactly anything like the Patek but I quite like the combination of things and colors, the retro bracelet as well as the black sub dials...

In all my time watch collecting I’ve never quite found something that matches that watch.

I actually tried one on recently which was waiting collection and if it wasn’t picked up, I’d get the call.

There is something in the price too which I picked up indirectly through conversation. 200k seems steep.

It is certainly a watch I’d like to add at some point.

This is the closest thing I have to a Salomon dial. I really like this watch but that Patek is mind blowing. Massively different league.

Its a great looking watch but anything similar would be settling. I wouldn't want $200k in a watch either, I would rather buy a mutual fund. This same question came to me because I want 5167a but would have to go grey to get it. Rolex as a YM that I like that is similar, but not the same. I guess what I am trying to say is go for what you want lol.

The watch is beautiful. I’d love to try one on and maybe add it to a list of future pickups if I can ever justify $200k watch.

The Salomon dial is pretty good looking. I’ll take a look at that and see if I like it in person. I have a Cellini Moonphase currently, so I think the tan/peach dial will be a nice variation.

Lol, I guess I saw the dial color and it reminded me of the Breitling.

That's the one I was thinking of too, but I'm pretty sure it's more expensive.

Yep. I really like that one too.

I'd take the Patek over it though. Put that remaining $88k into another couple watches.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I've handled one of these, and it is In-SANE.

Not a bad alternative and is in WG. Can throw it on a strap as well.

One of the best color combos with a salmon dial is paired with a rose gold case from FP Journe. I think it’s not well known because it looks totally different than the photos. In person the warmth is captivating.

Okay so I had to bring this thread back up. I reached out about finding a lesser option to the 5270P... I think Breitling must of heard me. I know it is night and day build quality difference. But look at how close this is...
