Did i found my first rolex to buy ?? DJ 1601
Hi everyone,
i'm still looking for my first rolex (1601 ou 16014 with linen dial) and today i just found this one on chrono24. at first sight what do you think about it, the dial, hands, bracelet etc ? hands looks strange https://www.chrono24.fr/rolex/dateju...-id9126568.htm cheers :) |

love that dial, it's vintage and the hands look vintage. if you replace them be sure to hold onto the original.

Looks good, one last thing, check for corrosion. Ask for a pic of the movement so you can check the gasket channel for rot. Tell them to take the gasket out. If they refuse, I would move on.
You want it to look like this... Not this... That isn't dirt! A few spots are OK but nothing this crazy. l |

It is a nice looking watch but if I was you I would look to find a specialist dealer in Paris - you can then take advantage of their knowledge and expertise. You may initially pay a little more but you will have the opportunity to talk through your requirements, physically inspect their stock and then make your decision. If you have any problems or questions you will also be able to follow-up with them much more easily. Good luck with your quest.
