I sure like chronographs

Not sure why I love chronographs as much as I do. Perhaps it’s the precision of being able to see precisely how long something takes. I am just not sure. But whatever it is I can’t stop, I am crazy about these little machines.

I have several but these are my big three. I feel very fortunate.

What are your favourite complications and why?

And for me white metals are preferred. How about you?

Amazing trio indeed!

In my mind chronographs are the most useful complication. Unlike most people here I will never get any GMT or travel time watch as I am happy to do that little math myself...

At this point I have just got non-complicated Pateks in steel and platinum as I prefer white metal as well. In terms of complication I would like to get a chrono and a PC eventually. I don't like the AC designs and a PCC would be too complicated for simple man in me.

If they came through for me at the AD I would certainly add a 5968A and a 5740/1G. Possible alternatives include the 5170G and 3940J, the latter in yellow gold to add some color.

Amazing trio.

We need to see some wrist shots and don’t forget to post pics in the relevant photo threads.

Lovely trio. Don’t you think the 5170p is kinda redundant? Does it get any wrist time?

I mean if I had to he two on the right, id probably never wear the 5170.

I acquired the 5170 first, it gets in the rotation. Personally I think long term it will be appreciated much more than it is today. First manual wind chrono with an in-house movement and sold for a short run. I see it as the envy of many collectors down the road.

I love chronos too, I think the classic three subdial layout is what I always pictured a sports watch to be when I was young and I was always a sports polymath so stands to reason.

Love that triple slam!

Horses for couses my friend. IMHO GMT or Travel Time is by far the most useful complication. I had an SS Daytona (for a very short while)....no use to me at all....

Impressive trio. Chronographs, along with moonphases for their aesthetics, are my favorite complication as well.
