Harvesting 14060 Hands

Just curious if it was possible to use the hands from a 14060 in a 5513, or will it not fit the movement? Given the 14060s were the last tritium dials they tend to have some really clean hands but are starting to get really good patina for early ones. It makes me wonder if people are taking these hands out for use on a more vintage watch.

I have also seen 14060s come up for sale with mismatched patina on the dial and hands....

When I joined this site I was disappointed to see the Vintage section is 99% people creating franken-subs and the like.

This is perfectly normal. Lots of threads here discussing this. Perfectly matched dial and hands are a bit suspicious...

Every moving engine eventually has to have parts replaced....

I admire collectors willing to keep these beautiful old pieces running. Especially when Rolex spares are becoming harder and harder to find.

Wouldn't you expect something more recent like a 14060 to have more matching patina, instead of franken-hands?

Sorry, this is far from accurate. In the almost decade I've been active on this forum, I'd say the vast majority of people here strive for originality.
