Ziggy and the Sub

Sounds like the name of some alternative rocking roll band doesn't it? No, it's just my buddy Ziggy, our chocolate lab and my Sub on the boat today. We had fun letting the wind blow through our hair but weather caused us to come back in early. I got to enjoy three things I really love. The water, my dog and my Sub.

Great looking watch and an even better looking dog. :). Does he like being on the boat?

He LOVES the boat. If you even mention the word boat, he perks up and heads for the gate to our dock and dances around until you open it. He jumps in all by himself and looks at you like, "what's taking you so long?"

From the looks of his regal posture, do you think there is any doubt in his mind about who the captain is? :)

Real nice way to spend some time. Ziggy looks at home on the boat, any challenges with keeping him out of the water ?

Thats the funny thing. He is scared to death of the water! He even hates taking a bath. We got him as a rescue dog when he was approx. 9 months old and I think whoever had him tried to make him a hunting dog and he did not take to it. Doesnt like being IN the water and is scared of thunder and even the sight if any "boom sticks". Runs and hides. Loves being on the boat though.

Glad you and Ziggy (Star Dust) had a good time. Too bad the weather cut it short.

That's pretty ironic for a Lab but may be a plus for boating My neighours Chocolate Lab is insane over any water anywhere, rivers, lakes, pools, bathtub, he keeps them on their toes.

Our fearless Bull Terrier dives into the nearest closet at the slightest hint of thunder or lightning within a hundred miles.
