Clasp for my Daytona 16520
Hi guys,
This is probably the biggest shot in the dark ever (given how hard it is find parts) but I am after a new-ish daytona clasp to replace the current old stamped clasp on my 16520. The reason for this is because with every rolex I had, I always wear 4 link on the 6 o'clock side. On the 16520, it has 4 links which do not have screws in them plus the extra link (that can be removed) that attaches to the clasp. The plan is to remove the extra link then attach a normal clasp to that part. At present I find the bottom of the watch is not sitting right on my wrist and is being pushed up giving an almost floating like appearance! It's not hugging the wrist. Would anyone know where I can source a clasp other then ebay? I guess I am willing to pay good money for it. Many thanks all. |

Making a bracelet fit is a bit of an art. I have a 16520 and it fits my wrist perfectly and it can do the same for you. Your best bet is to pop along to any good jeweller (preferably a Rolex AD) and explain your problem. I had the same problem as you when I bought a Freccione Explorer. The AD took one look at it, re arranged a couple of links and now it fits perfectly. Regards Mick |

Hi Mick.
Thanks for taking time to reply and yes I agree totally fiddling with bracelet to get the most optimum fit is fun when you have loads of time to kill. I have removed an extra link on the 12 o'clock side and then used the very last hole the micro adjustment on the bracelet. It fits a lot better now. Again it's not as hugging as I would have like but it sits nicer. Still haven't given up the search for a clasp though! |

I think you will struggle to buy the clasp on its own, but you can buy the bracelet complete from a AD, l know because a few months ago I nearly bought a spare to have brushed as I wanted a change from the pcls
