Will a NON-SEL bracelet fit a newer watch (vice versa)?
So I'm trying to source a 16570 Exp II in black, but specifically an A-serial model (1999) due to the combination of the luminova and non-SEL bracelet....
My question is: If I source a newer 16570 (serial P, K...) for the luminova dial, will the 78790 / 78360 non SEL bracelet fit ? |

I have 2x explorer II (one is Y series; the other is an A series) and I can fit the 78790 bracelet from the Y series onto the A series. I bought the A series without a bracelet

Oh I meant, if I source a later model one with luminova dial (Y series and beyond), am I able to fit the older 78790 (NON-SEL) onto them?
I'm particularly fond of the older bracelets with the non SEL...but also want the usability of a luminova dial |

yes it should fit. Conversely, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't fit when my A series can fit SEL bracelet

Be careful here. Some of the non SEL end links do not have the cut outs to remove the spring bars as they are reliant on using lug holes to pop off the end links and bracelet. Many years ago, I accidentally attached a non SEL bracelet to an SEL Sea Dweller and the end result was painful.

Gotcha, thanks guys!
I might be wrong but I've seen post year 2000 Explorer IIs that still have lug holes...(P or K serial) |
