To do a case restoration or not (1675)?
Just wanted to get people’s thoughts on this. I have a 1675 and I am debating whether or not I want to send it to LAWW to do a vintage case restore. Case has a decent amount of metal still, but is a little soft/worn down on some parts and wondering if it would make a big difference to get these edges sharpened up. Obviously there’s no right answer, but curious to hear what other people think.

Only you can make that call. That said, they do phenomenal work and are the only people I’d trust with a piece like that.

I recently had my 1680 red sub done by LAWW and whilst they did an amazing job, its now almost too perfect. It feels like Ive lost some of the history of the watch and I almost regret having it done. Just a thought..

I'd leave it as it is now. You could end up with a couple thinner lugs - based on my observations of the photos.

I'd definitely leave it. Looks pretty fat with nice bevels, and I don't see any obvious dings/scratches on the case that might be annoying.
As mentioned above, the case will come back looking like new(ish). That has its own appeal to some hobbyists/collectors, but it can also hurt the overall vintage vibe. Wonderful creamy patina, btw! |

It seems its already done in the past.
The left lug, at 7, looks thinner ? Is it because of the photo ? To me, its perfect as it is, keep it. The only suggestion would be on a more suitable bracelet, this seems to come from a Sub, its too heavy for this watch. Try a Jubilee.

Another option is to just have the chamfers re-cut and leave the rest of case as is. This way one retains the character and history, yet has sharp edges.
IMO

I'd leave it as is as you will lose that originality of the watch
