NO COKE for you today !!!

Well Rolex gave us a new SS Pepsi GMT which is what I
Personally thought would come out . After reading
the various threads on the BLRO being discontinued it
made sense to me . I didn’t think they’d offer a SS and
a PM model simultaneously though...
Albeit the coke was not forgotten altogether you see...
It’s in the bottom of the new SS Pepsi page on Rolex
website as part of history as a consolation to those hoping
for a new coke gmt ...
Anybody think the Coke C on Jubilee would’ve been a hotter
seller than the Pepsi ???

Here’s the link to the GMT history bit on Rolex.com
https://m.rolex.com/watches/baselwor...blro-0001.html

I think Rolex does listen but have a unique way of catering to their
clientele ...

Exactly...
I just noticed the BLRO has a new blue dial
and white gmt hand differentiating it from the
SS version even more .

Never thought they'd do the red bezel on a SS watch - something about the cost

But the jubilee suits it very well

I'd like to know for sure if the insert is the same on the new SS because the colors have always been controversial.

Mike ( Kilyung ) on another thread said the bezel
Insert was the same on the BLRO and new SS Jubilee
version ...

I saw his post, Mario, and I have every reason to believe him. It's just that the colors on their press release are so vivid, and I hoped for a better color scheme but I probably shouldn't.

Coke would have been a way hotter release as well as not infuriating WG Pepsi owners....

People obviously love the new red/blue GMTII. The AD I deal with had 20 names on a list already by 10 AM this morning.

I was never into the GMTII until today when I saw the new offering. I like the new one and don't even really like Jubilees so it really made me a convert.

I'll grab one in a few years once the hype wears off.

The live pics in other threads look like it's the same bezel colors.

Maybe coke will come next year.... Anyone want to start the thread?

Somebody's a genius upstairs. With the ceramic Daytona SS from the last round and now, GMT II Master SS, they've created a demand for years. It's one thing to give people what they want, but to create demand is difficult. When done well, it's very close to hypnosis/mind control.

16710 Coke is fine just as it is. Let’s leave well-enough alone, please.

Reminds me of the old Belushi skit on SNL. Cheeburger, cheeburger! No Coke! Only Pepsi!

Agreed...but as one of our members pointed out, this way they can use up all those WG bezels that are laying around that probably cost them a fortune.
