Yes, it still is very much a supercase.
I think when Rolex says they redesigned the case, it could simply mean they changed the internal alignment of the lug holes, so as to prevent retro-fitting an Oyster bracelet. That, or maybe they just slightly changed the walls of the case for better polishing. But clearly there's no visible size difference. Which is a shame, as lots of us were clamoring for a return to slimmer lugs. As to the main question of the thread: I do not believe when should call this a root beer, as the colors are wrong. If it had been in YG with brown dial, then that would have worked. But this RG thing...
