Hello guys,
What do you think about the new Datejust generation? I cannot distinguish great differences between the last two generations. I believe the gap between 162XX and 116XX was much larger. Could it be that now it is principally a marketing operation? Check out the dial options! More diamond dials than common dials are offered. Does Rolex want to push the DJ upwards on the market? I read the description of the Jubilé bracelet, it's contradictory, they talk about one 5mm extension link but at the same time about a concealed clasp.

I am not a fan anymore of the new generation. While the slimmed case is an improvement and how it should have been since the last generation, i can't get over the new batons dial, the no longer available concealed clasp and, just as with all new releases, the adding of the crown in the place of the 3o minutes marker.

The batons have been enlarged and elongated, the rail road track with roman numerals is gone. The new Jubilee bracelet might have the ceramic inserts also, the end links are different from the previous one, you can see that the end of the lugs don't embrace the first link anymore. It also sports the new 3235 movement.

Unfortunately very few baton dials are offered. I would appreciate it on more colour options. The longer and larger batons are ok for me, a pity is that the railtrack has gone. The new sunray black dial is beautiful. I should check out better about bracelet. The so much advertised crownclasp is gone. What a strange thing.

As a DJ36 jubilee owner my opinion is:
- Movement: significant improvement, especially if it is not the only watch to rotate.
- Railtrack and roman numbers replaced by simpler indexes: I like how declutter the dial
- Bigger sticks: They look coherent with the general design to me.
- Change of position of swiss made and new coronet: I really like the new position integrated with the outside track, no problems with the coronet for me.
- Discontinuation of the hidden clasp: to me this is very unfortunate and a kind of deal breaker, that would make me disregard the other improvements as a big fan of current jubilee bracelet.
