Why they call it Tudor fifty-eight?

Since the bezel is 39mm, does anyone know why they call it Black Bay fifty-eight and not Black Bay Thirty-Nine? Just like Black Bay 32mm bezel is call Black Bay 32, so to make things simple, why don't they name Black Bay 39mm bezel according to the size? Just curious

If i'm not mistaken the original 7924 was 37mm and not 39!

Also, it had the rose, smiley and the silver bezel markers! Looks like the BBN ETA is truer to the original that the BB58!

Case profile of the 58 is much closer to the 1958 Big Crown. Which was @ 38mm

Hands are a 1960s design developed in conjunction with French navy divers to be more legible underwater than the dinky little mercedes hands, which were not designed for diving.

Are you really going to make me measure mine? Though it is a small crown 7922.

But they have been used by Rolex since the 1930s and glow less bright than the snowflake hands. This is why the French navy divers recommended they be replaced.

PS: this is the third time this month you have been banned. Give it up.
