I'm definately on the fence about the new end links though
Initially i felt like the new style looked like they turned down too much, but then today i saw a pic that showed them projecting out in a nice fair line rather than in a parallel fashion
I will have to reserve judgement until i see the watch in the flesh but initial impressions are rather positive.
I may have to start adding to the current collection of DSSDs
Yes, the video was wrong, I knew the Sub and DSSD had different size bracelets, I owned both, but so many numbers in my head at the moment that I forgot it was 21 up to 22.

It's certainly not a bad effort for a first attempt
And also not entirely wrong either.

I think it will very much come down to personal preference as both styles are not entirely perfect.
Then nothing is really ever perfect

Let’s be real, the newer version is the fixed version with upgraded movement. More will be in demand for the 2nd version. So I see a sink in prices for version 1. Later in like 5 years or more, a possible increase in price being that the version 1 has history and possible demand for watch collectors.

Possibly. But then again, there are now a fixed number of DSSD1/JC1 out there. Demand will dictate which will be a viable option when none can be sourced as it is. Pay $X for a d/c model now or wait and pay $X plus a premium for the new...it will be interesting.

Personally, I do not foresee anything of the old being discounted much, if at all.

Fixed version? So the 16520 is the fixed version of the 62xx and the 116520 is the fixed version of the 16520 and the 116500 is the fixed version of the 116520 etc. Need I say more? Collecting Rolex for 30 years and understanding Rolex history gives me a different point of view. I can go through many examples if needed but why bother.

Trends and history are meaningless against people’s kneejerk reactions.

Not trying to impress anyone just saying prices are not what everyone thinks
