Deepsea Challenge
anyone know if this watch is on display somewhere?
would be nice if rolex tours the watch through its boutiques so i could get an eyes on look at it. |

I'm sure it did fine, but did Rolex ever release anything official about it after the dive?
Come to think of it, I haven't really seen any footage or anything to do with that mission since it happened. |

Almost certain he meant the DSSD Challanger.....
This was a prototype not meant for the general public!! (or to ever be sold as a production model!) OP, think of it as a DSSD x 2....Could it be worn by a human being???

Just look at the DSSD -- Its sales are dismal. Now you bring a watch out that is bigger and heavier than the DSSD and you expect it to sell? Not gonna happen -- well if you have wrists of a gorilla, then it might happen. Most people in the world can barely wear the DSSD.

well, i have found nearly all of the sport rolexes in the cases in recent weeks. i think that the economy and massive prices contribute to this. i dont think the DSSD is a slow seller... but its expensive and readily available these days.
my prediction, the Black Bay at one-third the cost will be very hard to find in the flesh. lower price point. |
