Would you lend your rolex, even to your wife?

First at all, there is only a few days I purchased my Explorer, that could explain...
As my wife can see that I am crazy with the watch she asked to try it. No reason to say no. But after only 1 minute (that could be even less), I asked her to give it back. I felt very unconfortable and it was clear to me that I don't want to lend my watch.
And for you this is the same or it's just a question of time before I get used with my watch?

If she takes it as her own, its a perfect excuse to buy another for yourself.

She takes my sub usually on friday's, her work casual day... I dont care its only watch. Better than her asking me to buy a Micheal Korrs watch She knows better than that now.

saying that she is the MASTER desk diver oh well

My wife wears my Milgauss GV daily. I don't mind because now my Daytona is getting the wrist time it deserves. What bothers me, however, is the increased number of scratches on it. I had to remind her to be more carfeful.

Damn! That's a crazy funny story When it comes to my wife it's all fair game! Heck she even confiscated my GV and I had no say! After all it's just a watch!

My wife wore my DJ for a bit but was too worried about scratching it and she thought it was too big and heavy. Ended up buying her a 31mm Tudor Prince Date that she considers the perfect watch.

Don't worry, its just a 'power' thing. So - show her your power - and - get yourself another one! You can't fault her taste in men and watches, right?

Actually, you should handle it very diplomatically...this could work out for the best!

After my 4 requests, yes she gave it back. But she was not happy, not at all. She threatened me to scratch the watch with her teath!

My wife has her own watches. No need for her to wear mine. Besides which, she doesn't respect her watches, so there is no way she is wearing any of mine! Thankfully she doesn't want to...

Same. My girlfriend doesn't have any particular interest in watches, although she admires them. Lucky me!

Exactly the same here! One thing I can attest Is that Cartier, Bedat and Ebel make very strong watches. She bangs thm, leaves the on a gym bag that gets tossed around, thrown on hard counters as if they were loose change. You name it, they take it! My watches, hell no!

The worst is when they request that you resize the bracelet. Might as well kiss the watch goodbye for a few weeks. I don't mind though, I love seeing a woman I love wearing a nice watch.
