My wife tried my white faced Daytona on about 2 years ago, and there was no way I was going to get it back....
So i went out and purchased a Black faced Daytona for myself.... |

LOL my wife would beat the life out it! She is really rough on watches and it would annoy the life out of me when she returned it covered in scratches and dents. I bought her a nice limited edition Tag at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 which she still loves today but it is looking VERY second hand, she just doesn't see the value in a Rolex so I wouldn't let her wear mine.

wife had a 31 oyster perpetual, I had a SD. When it was time for me to buy my DSSD, wife suggested that she can wear my SD now, since she likes bigger watch, hmmmm, can't give up my SD, so I bought her the pink floral 36 DJ, we are both happy now, but she always reminded me that I could of saved all that money if I just have gave her the SD, hahahahaha

The great thing is that my wife knows that I am obsessive like that with things that I collect and she is respectful of me, so she would never intentionally put me in a position that would make me uncomfortable. Consequently, I buy her lots of nice things because she deserves them for being such a great partner (she prefers other things to watches anyway...). It works out well for everyone... |

No one asks for or touches my Rolex watches. My daughter asked if she could wear my DSSD to her highschool ---- I thought for 14.2nanoseconds and gave her my answer: NO! -- HELL NO!!!
Nobody and I mean nobody will have the respect or care for my watch that I have for my watches and like they say in life 'shit happens' - I don't wanna hear her say "Well dad, I put it in my locker during snacktime and now I can't find it." So when I refused it to my daughter, she got 2 firms messages: 1) There will never be a time and neither there should be a time, for a kid in highschool to flaunt daddy's watch. 2) Her daddy is a real A$$hole She wants to wear a Rolex, then she needs to go out and shell those hard earned big bucks and get one for herself. When I am dead, they can pawn my collection of watches for $10 and it wouldn't bother me--but while I am alive, I will protect them like a mama bear protects her little cubs and anyone who gets in the way, gets mauled -- wife, girlfriend, family, kids, parents, grandparents, in-laws for sure! -- did I miss anyone? |

I would, but my wifey is more clumsy than Mr Magoo. So... I'd rather buy her a Rolex of her own to knock around, than to lend her mine to trash!

No way!! But I have let a few people try my DSSD on with me there. I take very good care of the things I own...watch, car,etc.....and don't think most people take as much care with their stuff, including mine.

No problem with her trying on but lend thats a whole different question & answers no
Why would you lend out something you've worked long & hard to get to someone who chances are aren't going to be as careful as you. |

since I got my panda Daytona, my wife has taken over my Zenith and the bracelet had to be resized to fit her wrist. it's got so many dings and scratches on it that makes me wonder how she ever got them on a desk job..
the good part of the deal is that I got my Exp2 back... |
