Nicely done bro!
Funny you should mention that as my screen saver is currently a 5512
Were I able to get my hands on a mint, untampered & unmolested example, I would surely add it to this small collection.

For me, life is just to effin' short to not be IN LOVE with either 1) what I own, or 2) the story behind why I own it.

For a good few years my entire collection was the one Sub I inherited from my Dad. I wouldn't trade it for any other collection on Earth.

Just my opinion and probably worth every penny you're paying for it, ;)

It was a joke. Saved for a long time to buy them. My watch account is now empty.

my theme is generally stainless steel sports watches or "what can I get next" - I thought I had it licked but no - 4 watches in the last 2 months - but at least I did sell 3 of the more unloved pieces in the collection so it has been more challenging than catastrophic to my wallet.

Changes all the time. Generally wanted a collection that went with my attire and my lifestyle. So different colored dials and bezel inserts to go with different outfits and occasions. As I get older the theme has really changed to vintage and much less concerned about matching it all up.

While my collection consists mostly of vintage GMTs, I buy what I like when something nice or unusual comes along.

My collection has more of a purpose, rather than a theme.Quality, versatility and variety.A nice Chrono, a GMT, a pseudo dress watch, a do it all sports watch, so on....

Gotta admit my watch theme is Rolex

Gus probably has the best idea, I just however, find myself strangely drawn only to Rolex

I wouldn't say a theme. But I do like to collect a good example of some of my more admired brands. Along with some diversity in function and appearance!

Does your collection have a theme?

My theme has been black dial, SS, with oyster bracelet watches.

I think that is about to drastically change.

Edit: I resized the picture I think. I hope it fixes the page.

I actualy think I know where I will find it, but this was a process I had to go through. More watches is not the answer for me.

I don't know if it qualifies as a "theme" but for the last few months I have been acquiring watches that I have admired and desired since childhood.
Sub, Datejust, Explorer, and most recently an Omega Speedmaster.

Chaps

I only have 3 Rolex plus an Omega and JLC gathered over the years, so it hardly merits the word collection.

The only thing I have disciplined myself on is never ever ever buy a gold or TT Rolex because the chunky bracelet makes it looks a bit loud.

So the theme for Rolex is that it must be SS.

Regards

Mick
