I just picked up a 16570 also with the T<25 dial. Such a lovely watch, and reminds me of the 16570 Polar EXP II my father had that he would lend me for a few hours at a time to motivate me to work towards my goals.

Great review! My Polar 16570 is my first choice when I hit the trails, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I remember in the 90s walking into an ad in Bangkok asking to see the sports models, they led me to the display case with 30 white-faced Explorers the only watches in the case. nobody wanted them at that time.
I recently picked up one and loved it |

Great review about a truly under appreciated model. Of all the Rolex watches I own, my first choice is the polar Explorer II. It is one of the few watches I will never trade or sell.

i wore mine exclusively on the bracelet for many many years. more recently, i switched to a nato strap and have settled on a leather one which i now prefer. here is a pic:
