Is this a hoax?

http://www.abetterwrist.com/2016/11/...rst-watch.html

Anyone in NY seen this thing or willing to post a picture?

Edit:
A little watch humor from A Better Wrist.

I wonder which bank provided the underwriting for the credit card processing account for this machine....

Risky on so many levels. Careful not to drop your credit card folks!

Prob not too far off. I know the have gold vending machines, so why not in the future a rolex vending machine?

It would eliminate the AD salesperson as everyone complains about.

Unless the machine says "Hurry and buy b/c I think there will be a price increase soon

Does it also dispense tokens for free soda or champagne? And when does it tell me the Daytona is getting discontinued, so I'd better buy one?

My luck it would jam or id hit the wrong section like when I meant to hit C6 for the Ceramic Daytona and hit C5 instead and got the leopard Daytona. Happened to me today at work when I meant get Skittles and got an almond joy instead.

Or what if the box gets suck in the rings? Do you shake the machine like you do when your Twix gets stuck?

With my luck, my watch would get stuck hanging there and the next guy would get two watches for the price of one!

My guess would be at he time the machine processes the payment they could also print the card holders name on the card.

The card of course would need to be outside the green box bits it's possible

Very easily, have RFID on box that is scanned before final bin to buyer. In fact being computerized, the warranty could be communicated nearly instantly to a central database for worldwide authentication / warranty verification and activation. Since odds are you used a credit card, it links to the card holder's name and home zip code / country code.

Really easy stuff and of course all communication is encrypted for security.

Even without the disclaimer, these would have given it away:
Business travelers who forgot to take their watch and have a meeting for which they need to look impressive.

Rolex owners who just had their Rolex stolen (or who left it behind at airport security) and need an immediate replacement.

Travelers who have been wearing their Omega, Breitling or Patek for several days and want a change of pace.

Consumers who want a Rolex without all the hassle that goes with buying one in a store.

Each watch is dispensed with easy-to-use tools for band sizing.

It's a humorous idea, though.
