Nice meters 1st 1680!
Congrats on your watch & welcome.
Bezel itself is easily sourced; the original period correct insert will set you back a small fortune & not so easy to come across. Personally I would change the crystal because it appears to have moderate wear & polishing done in the past. I learned the hard way yrs ago concerning old crystals :( Enjoy the hunt! Justin |

I have had quite a few interested parties in the piece, and im not very interested in selling, however does anyone have possible idea of current value/value when correct bezel is sourced.

The correct bezel and insert (Mark III) costs around $2000. The correct crystal with the small chamfer or edge at the top are also available in the secondary market for approximately $300. Nice "meters first" 1680 Subs seem to be in demand from approximately $18,000 $25,000 - all depending on condition and whether it has the original correct parts. Gloves are extra and not factored in these prices.

I've got a MK2 "Long 5" bezel insert on mine, and have seen them frequently on other meters first Reds that have been offered for sale.
