Got the call today for my first ever!

Ive been on a couple lists for just a short time frame so it was totally unexpected that I got the call today. My first watch is going to be The Hulk! Snow is moving into the area but if I can get there tomorrow it will be mine. This after a BLNR deal fell through on me just yesterday, I was pretty tore up. Cool thing is the AD said I was local, a business owner and had actually stopped in the store to talk to them to prove I wasn't trying to flip so Im the guy that got the call. Told him to keep me on the BLNR list and maybe, just maybe I can talk him into putting me on the list for a ...... oh crap, I cant even say it. At 53 years of age having admired the date just and TT blue submariner my entire life its finally happening!

That's great!

Congratulations

This supports the idea that some forums members have that going to the AD in person might help you out

Welcome to the club!

Doc, I found a BLNR that was used on Craigs List. Don't laugh yet. It was described as brand new never sized and had been in his safe for two years. I could tell by the email language it was someone that sounded mature and honestly did not sound like a scammer at all. After he listed his demands (it was a no BS deal), I told him I only had one demand, we meet at an AD so they can open it and verify authenticity. Id give him cash immediately (btw, it was $7,000). He said no problem, he only wanted a safe place and told me where he bought the watch and when but his plans hadn't worked out so he was going to let it go. Then later said I was actually number 2. He messed up got confused and told another guy before me that he was first in line. By the wording I really believed him, too much information to be an average scammer. If he was, he was a damn good one! Anyway, he was to let me know if it fell through today and I haven't heard from him. But, Im getting the HULK as my first and thats kinda how I wanted it anyhow.

Yes. That failed craigslist deal sounds like a blessing in disguise to me. $7000 for a BLNR that was never worn for 2yrs. Yea right!

I agree, you're probably lucky the craigslist didn't happen, sounds TGTBT. The Hulk is a fabulous first Rolex and you will be hypnotized by its beautiful green dial. Post some pictures. Good luck. Cheers!
