Completely agree. The ceramic bezel makes a huge difference with this dial and the oysterflex is definitely the superior version!!!

This is one of those models that look significantly better in person than in pictures (and it doesn't look too bad in pictures either.) Nice choice.

You can't go wrong with it. I think I'm starting to realize why this dial is so captivating...it's basically a modern 6263 big red... (not my photo)

Yup, that was the first thing the Basel reviewers thought.

Looks like a Patek is next for you.

Thanks a lot. You know, without the WG Daytona, I'd say yes. However, I think this more than adequately satisfies my itch. I think I'd say no.

On the subject of waitlists, my AD basically told me they are BS. He said any "list" someone may think they're on isn't much more than a courtesy. He told me one customer came in who's on a 50 year waitlist at another AD His shop isn't taking any names at the moment.

Basically, he said, if you want to get a ceramic Daytona anytime soon, you need to have an established relationship with an AD and have purchased 3-5 watches. If not, you're not really "on a list".

Fantastic watch. Wear well.
Is it adjustable to the wrist?

Thank you my friend, I sure will. At the time of purchase it's sized to your wrist. The strap they had on by default fit my 7" wrist perfectly. If it doesn't fit perfectly, there are 3 adjustments you can make on the clasp. It also has a 5 mm easylink extension. If neither of those adjustments suffice, they will order you a different sized Oysterflex bracelet. As far as I understand, Oysterflex bracelets may not be purchased on their own from Rolex.

My girlfriend was quite disappointed to learn my bracelet is too large for her wrist (however, I think some owners may find this to be a peripheral defensive benefit )

My only concern is the Oysterflex bracelets could make it difficult for these to sell on the preowned market. If the band isn't sized properly to your wrist, I'm not sure what your options would be.

Congratulations! Great addition to a very nice collection. I think that was why I ended up with one as well, as close to a 6263 as a modern Daytona can get.
