It's still single sealed, so I'm very happy I was patient.

I expect US pricing to be closer to $200K, as it is always higher than CHF.

I hope it doesn't become like the 5101P salmon dial, which was over-produced and saw secondary prices drop.

What a watch.
I wish it didn’t have the numbers on the top of the dial, but still stunning.

Actually not a bad price, considering 5270G was $179K USD for several years before the price drop.

That is the European price. The US price will be much higher probably around 190,000 would be my guess. Remember the 5370g was quoted as being around 70,000 USD from the Basel price in CHF at the fair but came in at 82K in the US.

It's listed on the Patek website: U$187,110.

All of the gold 5270s have severe secondary market drop. I would expect a hit on this watch too at some point. How big who knows. Not a big demand for manual PCs in todays world.

Not trying to be contrarian, but what’s the love/fascination for salmon?

All of Patek's historical perpetual calendar chronos (PCC's) have been manual wind because of the chrono portion. The relatively steep increase in list prices over the past 10-12 years and ramping up production numbers (since Patek is making all the chrono movements in-house) are more related to the soft secondary market prices IMHO. With this knowledge, Patek has not added a huge "platinum surchage" for the 5270P and the 5170P (released last year). However 5170P prices are already quite soft on the secondary market without a huge demand. So I agree that secondary market price for the 5270P will also be quite soft.

This is THE 5270 IMO. I know most will still prefer the 5970, but this will be the one that finally makes it into my box!

For a moment, I prefer this 5270p to 5970p. Great dial. Perfect.

Not sure if Patek will again make black dial next year for the p version.
