So much weird hype around the Hulk lately. It's an older watch but it made a real comeback for some strange reason.

Happy to see the LV lives on. Buys me time to find one at an AD this year. I’m heading out to my AD this week, but not for anything Basel 2018, Hulk list it is.

Hopefully the hysteria about it being discontinued will end now - we will see.

Heck yea. The LVc is on fire and isn’t going anywhere. Perhaps dealers that were no longer taking names for the LVc will start again. I want to see those on back order lists get one this year.

It's time for this silly rumor to cease. The LV is not being discontinued.

I don’t think the hysteria ends! There’s always next Baselworld!

The hysteria keeps going because of Rolex limiting supply. No obvious reason now we know that there is almost no change to the current line...

Well, I remember when the 116500 launched and the 116520 stayed on the website for a while and everyone thought Rolex would offer both versions. I'm not sure we can say with certainty it is staying, but nothing in-line to replace either...

I'm not seeing any change to the Submariner lineup, based on what's showing on the website.

I would expect a price correction in the pre-owned and grey market. However, a discontinuation could still very well arrive later in the year.

I remember the YM 116622 platinum dial disappearing from Rolex website in summer 2016, not in March with the announcement of the rhodium dial and chocolate dial.

I agree. It seems like the green option (though originally done for the 50th anniversary) has become a sort of default option for the stainless Submariner. I think its inclusion in the line is important. Whereas precious metals have a blue dial variation, I think it's kind of cool that you can only get a green dial in stainless steel.

Wonder if this means grey market prices normalize. Great watch, but, man, talk about demand being driven by rumor and speculation.

Given the strong price action in Aug, I actually think Rolex put out some feelers that this might be getting the axe, as sales were never that stellar, but the incredible hype that followed may have caused them to change their minds.

My AD got one in on Monday with my Daytona shipment. They already had it sold to someone but maybe it’s a sign of shipping starting to open up on some of these SS sport references.

I don't think it will be discontinued in the near future. Rolex will probably equip it with the new movement and release it as 126610 lv.

Hard to say what final fate of the LVc will be!
Was fortunate to pick mine up in July '17 @ slight discount. Had it engraved for commerative reasons since it checked 2 boxes for me; had no clue of its demand since I only saw in 1x in the wild yrs ago. Double bonus...led me to TRF. Hoping those still in the hunt have opportunity to get this amazing piece!
Regards

I love my 116610LV.
Since it’s a keeper, I get to watch the market fluctuations at a distance
Thank goodness
