New GMT case

Is it just me or does the new case look nearly unchanged! I am trying to imagine the lugs being smaller, but don't see it. Maybe the bracelet got a bit wider? And where is the change to the side of the case they are advertising?

I don't seem to see the changes me neither. It's difficult with those CGI on the website. I think a comparison in the flesh would be more obvious. But we'll have to wait some time for that.

Looks to be a little more "droop" or taper on the lugs. Not like the vintage cases but more than first ceramics. View a pic from the side and from crown guards to the lug end there appears to be more taper. At least to me old eyes.

Hard to tell from the pictures but they have slimmed down the case from near the bezel to taper in instead of out as well as shaved a small amount off the lug ends. In my opinion it is a perfect compromise from the bloated look of the maxicase but still retaining the ceramic look.

Would be easier to tell with Oyster vs Oyster comparison.

I suspect they changed it so it only fits the jubilee bracelet.
That way no one can fit a BLNR Oyster and make a WG BLRO replica.

This kind of reminds me of the whole Fat Lady GMT thing - not noticeable unless they're side by side (at least to me)

comparison pics

I am trying to see the changes, but honestly...IN the second photo the pepsi with jubilee case looks different than the everose, but those are supposed to be the same, no?

I don't think they have changed the case. The only possible change would be the position of the lug holes (hope they have not changed this)

Yeah, looks the same. Guessing it's just the lug hole position that changed. Certainly doesn't look any narrower to my eye.

Might be me, but the BLNR is the best looking of the bunch.

Nope. Not just you. I’m going to quickly put some money away to buy a BLNR just in case Rolex foolishly decides to discontinue it.

They have redesigned the lugs and you won’t be able to change the jubilee bracelet on the SS Pepsi.

Likely the only change is so you can't interchange bracelets. Case looks identical to me.

Agreed
Even if visually not that apparent, all Rolex would have to do is fraction of a mm alter width or angle of lugs and the oyster won't fit

I agree. On the ceramic GMT’s I still feel the BLNR is the most handsome watch. The colours are off on the Pepsi and I won’t be trading my 2003 Pepsi Jubilee or my BLNR.

As for case size I think it’s the same. There may be some adjustments made to fit the Jubilee but its still basically the super case as far as I can see.

My biggest disappointment was that they didn’t chamfer the lugs. Didn’t stop me from calling my AD this morning and getting on the list though...

According to Rolex's website, the lugs and sides of the Oyster case have been redesigned.

I think it's different. Well, either it's different or they changed the number of little cutouts on the bezel.

Look at the BLNR, about 4.5 "pips' between the middle of the "12" and the edge of the lug:

New GMT, 5 full "pips" between the "12" and the lug:

They look more curved inward on the outer parts of the lug from this angle. From the head on shots it looks very similar to current model

Grab the BLNR before it gets discontinued. It's already a one of a kind now that the Jubliee has been added, the mvmt is different and the size of the case is smaller. There will always be only one BLNR.
