I can’t see difference but I am fired up to add the BLRO to go along with the BLNR!

I guarantee the holes on the inside of the lugs are in a different location than the BLNR. Time will tell.

I prefer the jubilee bracelet on a dress watch instead of sports model...I sense others have the same opinion since there’s all this discussion if the bracelets can be swapped.

Just enough of a change to stop me putting my 116710LN Oyster bracelet on a new Pepsi SS.

New GMT case

Just a matter of getting a donor bracelet, filling the existing hole, and remachine a relocated hole and cutout. Just requires a mill. Not very difficult to do. I could do it. |

Why not leave the existing hole? Then you can use the exclusive Jubilee bracelet it came with as well. I'm thinking there may be more to it. Maybe fitment to the actual case side is different too. A couple of extra holes on the inside lug is too easy. Too predictable. Wait for the 'Will the pepsi bezel fit my BLNR?' posts to make a resurgence..

Good observation. I thought they looked different from casual observation - just couldn't nail it as you did.

You still must be able to take the bracelet off right, so if I want to wear mine easily in some of the crappier areas I frequent I might put mine on a NATO.
For a while I thought maybe they narrowed the lugs a bit but it doesn't really look like it in the pictures. |

The Hodinkee review claims that the lugs are neither bigger nor smaller.

New GMT case
So if a simple bracelet change was all Rolex needed to make this watch happen, why not an all-brushed oyster option too? Go back to the old days when you could no-cost-option oyster or jubilee on a new GMT??

I see a subtle change in the lugs. They look more contoured and the watch looks less blocky overall, as mentioned in a previous post. I see the overall case design to be an improvement, albeit a slight one.

the more I see the maxi case, the more I think what if rolex was trying to create an indestructible watch that can last many generations. Any one ever polished their maxi case yet? Just think about how many polishes that can survive and at the end, it could possibly end up like a 5 digit rolex.

New GMT case
No change to case size in the Pepsi.
Several sources like Time and Tide - as mentioned above - and HODINKEE , have confirmed. |

Same here - thinner and longer, with a slight kick out at the bottom, where the old lugs were straighter
Definate design cues from the SD43 case and lug shape. the new DSSD is the same. Its subtle (and perhaps I see it more clearly as I'm used to the SD43) but its there in the live pics.

Having now seen videos of the actual Pepsi GMT in videos, I think that's still a maxi case by any reasonable definition. Maybe the lugs are slightly different (I can't tell, to be honest), but it's still very much the modern "thick lug" look. Anyone who hates the maxi case will hate this just as much.
I've never had a problem with the modern case, and five-digit models feel a bit too slim and dainty for me (probably because I'm used to the newer case). But I would have been just fine with something in the middle that maybe everyone could like. |

I can't get this to animate in the page but if you pull it onto your desktop and flip between them you can see there is *no* lug change between the old LN and the new pepsi.

You can't use a rendering/computer generated image to compare the two. You need to use images of the actual watches

The point of this ramble is that the 32xx calibre is the true Rolex-Baselworld story because it's technological, however slender such improvements are becoming for a very conservative company. The rest is, as mentioned by someone's sig here, just "dress up". There is only a little room left in either Sub/GMT or DJ design for changes if you intend to offer several "versions". But as can be seen here in TRF those small changes generate lots of emotional energy. Those small changes have impact for some segment of the Rolex market. With the public's desire, that energy, and the ADs, you're getting very close to being able to offer a (semi-)bespoke Rolex. At a higher cost envelope, of course. I could certainly pass my 16030 on to my grandkid but not to my son. He wants "his own". |

If it is a 21mm lug, do you think the Explorer II bracelet might fit? IIRC, that's 21mm also.
