Rolex YM RG 116655 40mm Could drop to 14k-15k??? This year???

So as we all know PM’s tend to drop in value over time. With that being said the YM RG 116655, is still selling for a high value compared to retail. Would you think the pre-owned prices would be coming down within the next year or two? I believe the 116655 could go to ~15k because #1 it’s a strap and more popular models Daytona’s/Sub’s have decreased MORE over time then where the YM is currently at.
If history holds to the YM RG 116655….the price COULD drop to 14k-15k…….

Let me know what you have witnessed over time of PM's and their price trends. Thanks!

116655
Used/Grey mkt: $18,500-20k
Retail $24,950
That’s only ~ 25% from retail and ~2yr old model

Compared to a Solid gold Sub
YG Sub 116618
Used/Grey mkt: $21k-22k
Retail $34,250
35-38% off retail

Compared to Daytona on strap:
116518/116519
Retail: 30,900
Used/Grey mkt: $14-15k
50% off retail!!!

IF the YM drops to Subs range: 35-38% off retail= 15k-16k
IF the YM drops to Strap Daytona range: 50% off retail= $12-13k!!

If it drops to the 14-15 range - I’m in. As I suspect many would be...given the current watch market.

It would make that reference a REALLY good buy.

I’d bet you’d get somewhere in that range if you traded on in now, but I’d bet an average watch buyer would not be able to pick one up that cheap

I'm not sure about the price, but I was at an AD today and tried the 116655 on for good measure. Man oh man did it sing to me!! It will be my third and final Rolex. I absolutely loved it.

The new ceramic Daytonas have put this under pressure, so would expect prices to be soft esp if the Daytonas prices also start to fall.

Just because other, older models have declined in price doesn’t mean this watch will.

Yeah this one is a weak seller. But to $14k? I'm not so sure about that.

Oysterflex is not a strap, it’s a bracelet.

But to address your question, I don’t see the 116655 dipping that low. The Oysterflex is still very much a part of the Rolex lineup; and to some a deseriable part at that. E.g. 116519LN
