Official vacheron overseas thread!!

Hey guys

I thought it would be useful to create a thread for Vacheron Overseas owners or perspective owners.

Let’s post some pics, share our collective experience and unite!

Cheers

I’ve posted some pics of my current 3rd Gen VC Overseas Chrono.

Cheers!

I love it! I'm not sure how it fits on my 6.3" sized wrist.
I've been thinking about it quite a bit and was considering selling the BLNR for one. Not sure if it's a good move?

I just love the blue dial

and the ultra thin is stunning

Looks great to me! I saw a blue one selling for around £13k on the Vacheron Facebook forum. A bargain compared to the Nautilus which seems to be going for £50k!

Both look too big on you IMO... I have a 6.75 inch wrist and wanted to love the overseas but even on my wrist just felt mildly large and clunky.

Does anyone have the Overseas 3rd gen brown dial (4500V/110A-B146)?
Was thinking of swapping my LVc for one, but not sure if I'm crazy or not.

Just picked up this previously enjoyed Gen 2 Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph two days ago! This is me driving home with it from picking it up at FedEx!

Unfortunately, I saw them confirm on a social media post that they won't be- it will remain a one-off. Shame, as it's quite a handsome piece that I feel would have done will for the brand.

AP ROC 26331ST Panda or VC 4500v Blue?

Curious to know what you will choose if you have the opportunity to get an AP 26331ST Panda (blue not possible) at retail ($24.3K) or a bnib VC Overseas Blue (4500v 3-hands) for $16.6K (around 15% off retail?). I know one is chrono (and a lot heavier on the pocket which is also a consideration) and the other is a simple-date so not really comparable but they are both smiling at me especially that VC blue! Is this VC discount good given that its resale market is not the best? As also mentioned by most, I will not pay retail for VC. I intend to keep the piece but then again, one will never know if there is a need to unload in the future. I have since parted with my white 15400st (family, so did not really gain from it). As always, thanks in advance for your views

I am in Asia, but prices are converted to USD. Found a coup,e of better deals in the US for the VC but need to factor in shipping and taxes so there will be no real savings...sigh.

The Gen 2 overseas 47040 is by far my favorite VC. Love the white guilloche dial. Fantastic bracelet too. Wears smaller than it is.

Here's an old pic of mine, plus a couple size comparison pics with my old Exp2 and with my APRO and BLNR.

Hey

Depends on why are you buying and what is in your collection. Out of these two, retail is better on AP as new VCs do not seem to be in demand. AP in the last few years seems to have become very popular and now discounts difficult to achieve. VC discounts can be had at 20% or more.

If both pieces are affordable and you intend to keep, focus on what you like more. If you’re concerned about resale, perhaps VC is not the watch for you.

Thanks for your views. Resale is not my primary concern as I intend to keep. But that does not mean am not concerned about it at all :)

There is not a lot of the blue simple dial preowned. The few that I saw are not too far down from discounted bnib prices (about 2k). Which is not too bad I guess...
