This simple fact made me love the 5164a

I have been after a 5167a at the right price. After watching videos on the 5164a, the fact that you can hide the GMT hand behind the regular hour hand was a game changer for me. It makes me like the larger (more expensive) design and now I'm thinking the 5164a is the move

It’s definitely the aquanaut to own. Wear mine as a daily.

Absolutely concur with the sentiment. It's a perfect three-hand watch when you're not traveling!

Definitely agreed; for me I also love the design of the date wheel, it goes really well with the original design and is aesthetically pleasing; the pushers on the side are also really nicely done.

Despite the phallic gmt hand, I do believe the 5164a is the best gmt in the game.

I recently acquired one after a long hunt - and it is the best GMT in the game! Also much prefer the complication and dial layout / case proportions versus the 5167a (which I had purchased grey previously and since sold).

Agree with all the comments - the 5164A gets worn frequently - it's easy to wear and actually has a complication that you will use if you travel.

Easier to wear, matches a lot, super easy travel time feature. Only things to consider are that the bezel scratches easily (happens while traveling) and a bit bigger and thicker than 5167

Awesome. Im out of touch with watches after a good year away from most things watches.

Wonder if a 5167 plus BLRO is now doable for a 5164 trade? 5164 been on my wishlist for quite some time

I'd think that would be very close to doable
