5960p Incoming!

Really happy to add a 2nd PP to my collection.

I find these to be a very strong buy at market price considering that it is a platinum annual calendar flyback chronograph, specially since it’s original MSRP was like $95k.

I really like the rhodium dial and the heft of platinum.

Mine is year 2009, so it bears the Geneva Seal, what I think is cool!

I've been looking at that particular version since around 2015 and never pulled the trigger but it's, for me, my use, the most attractive to enjoy on a daily basis.

Besides, it can pair well with many different strap colors, it looks modern (grey-blue-red combination) and has a nice presence.

I understand aesthetics is a subjective matter and some people prefer simpler/thinner watches but I never understood why we didn't see more of them on forums.

Huge congratulations, enjoy it well and bring more photos from time to time :)

A superb reference. Brownie points for the Geneva seal. Some of the early versions had a Breguet overcoil hairspring rather than silicon. These days most Pateks have silicon and only the big boy watches have metal.

Wear it in good health. How's the thickness?

I’m going to Tokyo in a couple of days and I’m planning to go to the Jean Rousseau boutique there and get a bespoke strap! I’ll post pictures!! Thanks for your comment!

It is on the thicker side for sure, but I recently wore it under a cuff and it was just fine!

I did not know if mine has a breguet overcoil hairspring or silicon, but I looked at the instructions manual and it appears to be a metallic hairspring.

A friend of mine is wearing the 5070P's navy blue with silver stitching one (from C. Fournet I presume). It looks very nice too. Maybe a grey one would make it more original though. Enjoy the search in Tokyo :)

I’ve got the Moscow edition of this and just find it too thick to wear for my style and wrist size. Wish I could get more use out of it as the all blue mono dial is great.

Guess I need to work on a thick forearm somehow.

Looks great.

Did you get the strap from a Patek AD? How long did it take?

All 5960, except the Moscow and black A, are still tremendous value and pack so much punch for the dollar. Fantastic watches.
