i am considering to sell my sub no date and buy the TT blue submariner.

the 114060 is my first rolex and i still love it very much now, but i would like
to add the TT blue sub in my collection as its such a fantastic watch.
any one did sell the sub no date for another sub and regret doing it? and the
reason?

Even though it’s the same watch, the watches are very different. I prefer the look of the two tone, but I would say that the SS one loses less value (judging from popularity on this forum).

I say “follow your heart”!

Nice Panerai by the way

It’s tough. I have owned both. I like the elegance and simplicity of the sub but I love the look of the sunburst blue in sunlight with the accent of gold. If you could own both, that’s my choice. If not, go for the TT. But in the future, you will wish you had both. Good luck to you.

I'd say "do it". It'll add a bit more variation to your collection.

I say go for it. If ever in the future you change your mind, I'm sure you can find another Nodate.

I think you predicted your own future dilemma. The fact that it was your first Rolex tells me that one day you will regret trading/selling your sub. I know I would regret it.

And adds a date, if that helps.

my tiny collection:

My first Rolex was the 116610ln and soon after I bought the 116613lb ( thinks that’s the ref for 6 digit “bluesy” ) I love both but on the odd occasion I have the two tone on for a few days I crave the sub date. Although I miss the weight of the two tone my sub date is like putting an old pair of slippers on and I would hate not to have the sub date there. Save till u can have both. Jmho!

Flip the 114060 for a 116610 instead. Can't go wrong with black. Can't say the same for blue/gold though.

Yes if that's what your heart desires. No one on the Forum can tell you what to do. There are many of us that would never get a no-date sub.

With all that said, if you can add it instead, that would be the better option. If you can't, then you can easily flip it for the two tone bluesy

I would sell it only because it brings a bit of variety to the collection.

I wouldn’t do it. But I hate the look of two tone and thing Submariners with the date and cyclops crowd the dial and make the watch look poorly proportioned compared to the no date model. I think you’ll regret it. 114060 will be a classic—I don’t think you’ll be able to say the same about any TT Submariner.

It's already been said but I'd keep the classy black Sub and sell the Panerai, it was your first Rolex after all. Now it's only my personal preference but I really really dislike the look of TT watches while at the same time loving blue dials. Save up for a real Smurf and savor the anticipation.

It's your first watch, selling is a mistake. That said my first was bluesy. If it wasn't your first, I'd say definitely swap. I love blusey.

Do it man! I dreamt of the TT for years and bought on 2 weeks ago...it's gorgeous. And, it looks even better in person.

Sell the ND and get the bluesy. It's too redundant to have two subs.
