The LK 01 (Lenny Kravitz) designed Rolex
Not sure if I like it.

Not my cup of tea but I'm sure some will find it appealing.

What is it with all of these watch customisers. $42k for a chintzy, Lenny Kravitz edition Daytona. No thank you.

The fact that they started with the underloved TT Daytona is interesting. But let's break it down a little further.
If you lose the baby-cow bund strap and went with black alligator...maybe? But I do like the Bakelite bezel treatment. But no to the PVD methinks. Also interesting treatment of the movement and an exhibition caseback. If Rolex was to bring a black ceramic case to the Daytona, I'd say the bezel is spot on and I'd take that exhibition back as an improvement. So Lenny may have channeled a great direction if it was done with al ceramic IMHO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On the plus side, it's not as gaudy as it could have been. Bear in mind that he's a rock star. One for whom feather boas and other such wear is common place.

I think there have been better renditions with the photoshopped pieces here on TRF. Very created, but this one, I'd have to admire from afar. The bezel and dial combination looks nice... maybe if it were all yellow gold case and braclet... maybe.

The words Lenny Kravitz on the dial kills the look. If I wear this, my friends will laugh at me

I actually like the watch and the see-through case back. I couldn't pull off wearing that strap though and the price- I would rather have 4 SS sport rolexes for that amount.

If I did have 40k to spend on another watch,,,would rather buy a vintage sub or vintage GMT..would not wear this... But, we are all different |

Far too much bling on that ..... horrible. An over the top rap star could probably pull it of but on anyone else it would look ridiculous. Kravitz recently " redesigned" a Leica M camera and the results there were horrible as well.

He's doing Rolex now as well? Mr Kravitz colab with Leica is often a hot potato within the Leica community. IMHO, I see the same problem with this one. I also say, no thank you.
Cheers, Joe

As much as I love the Daytona, it already has a dial that has too many lines of text. To add more is absolutely crazy. The bezel is the only good thing here, the rest is
