I'd say your photogrpahy skills (at home, not in AP House ) have improved dramatically Stephen

Must say again that it looks amazing and knowing the journey you've been on to get a Blue dial RO in steel I don't think it could have found a better home in this 50th Anniversary year for AP.

Enjoy and look forward to seeing in the flesh soon

p.s. I'm fairly sure this might be the first new 15510ST Blue on a customer's wrist for 2022?

Thanks everyone for the great comments - wearing again today and it really is stunning! The blue dial really pops in the sunshine

Sadly Gareth my photography skills are still horrendous - I took a few and showed them to Amanda and she said they looked terrible

These pictures are all her work!

Thanks again everyone.

After 3 days of wearing I can confirm it’s my favourite blue dial. Since I bought my first blue in 2005 (Omega Seamaster), that’s the colour dial I’ve always sought after. I’ve owned various blue’s including the skydweller, patek nautilus, VC overseas 4500, sub gold to name a few and this tops them all.

I’ve a soft spot for a chrono so maybe the new version of that, or the blue with rose gold bracelet May compete against this, but for now based on all the blue dials I’ve owned, this wins hands down. Very very happy :-)

FYI if anyone is interested, I’ve noticed how much lighter the new watch feels so I weighed them:

My 15500 weighs 168 grams
My 15510 weighs 154 grams

I assume most of that is the new bracelet?

I don’t have any knowledge on the workings and weights of the watch itself, so I’d guess it was all (or nearly all) the bracelet. Side by side you can really notice the difference how smaller/more tapered it looks.

A couple of pictures of the 15500 and 15510 side by side for comparison. The 15510 doesn’t have the ‘AP’ on the dial, instead the markers are slightly longer.

Also how the the watches differ under sunlight - quite stunning really.

I haven’t just jumped on the blue dial craze (nautilus, jumbo, blue sky, blue VC etc etc)Ever since I’ve been into watches, it’s always been about blue dials for me. From my first major purchase of a blue Omega Seamaster in Belize nearly 20 years ago, to this gorgeous blue 15510.

We had half a dozen friends round this weekend and I was asked about cars - I said I’d rather buy watches than cars and it led on to me showing them these two. None of these people are into watches, nor know anything about watches. Every one of them preferred the silver dial. I explained the enigma in the watch world that blue seems to rule the roost, but no, it was the silver dial.

So whose right and whose wrong eh

P.S. my wife also prefers the silver dial - I may have to trade her in :-)

I do like blue watches too and love the blue SkyDweller you had before but all things equal I would go silver. With a dial like that the colour plays with the light more but we all have our preferences.

To have both is unreal and very lucky indeed.

I learnt a long time ago to not ask non-watch folks what they think Stephen…..always bound to a) get an odd answer and b) utter disbelief when you tell them what the watch costs

Buy more AP’s and keep Amanda as you need her photography skills
