Unlike the teams that caved (US, Europe) to Qatars pressure by changing their publicized uniform rainbow patches, showing their true colors.
The Iranian men not singing their countries anthem in protest to Irans current strife that took real courage and should be applauded. |

I was torn today... I am half German and Half Japanese.
1st half Germany looked unstoppable... SO TIGHT and on point. I was going to be happy either way, but I think I am just a little happier that Japan came back with an emotional victory for the motherland. |

I couldn’t believe how Japan turned on the afterburners in that second half. As soon as they scored the Germans started playing scared football. Bastards cost me my parlay lol I should have known not to bet against the Japanese!

There are so many scoreless games. Are teams playing it safe and not trying too hard to score?

Agree with you Dave. This is only the 2nd time Canada has ever been to the World Cup and they were playing one of the best teams in the world. Sure they missed a PK, but Courtois is an unreal keeper as well. Canada really impressed.
The Japanese have become the stars of the WC not only on the field with the upset win over Germany, but off the field with their fans after each game helping to clean up the stadiums, even when Japan wasn't playing a game! Great showing by Spain yesterday as well. Germany v Spain is going to be really good as Germany has to go for a win now and not settle for the draw. |

Is it wrong that I’ve bet on the 3 lions? I’m a terrible person.

Iran looked very very good today against Wales and the score could have been more than 2-0.

Totally agree, I don't think Wales turned up, it could easily have been 4 or 5.

England made a good start, as did my other fancy, Spain - Gavi and Pedri did well as they have to, but tonight against USA will be much tougher. Euro sides generally struggling in this surreal desert tourny as expected. |

Ha! So much depends on Safegate, my friend. If he lets the forwards play we might make the semis, but I'm sure he will go uber defensive as usual and our defence just isn't that good so we need to score and often.

Pulisic (Chelsea) and McKennie (Juventus) just look different than the other American players. US needs more players to go to Europe and play with top clubs to make the next step up.

Our USA team may think you earn points hanging around the goal. They’re very reluctant to take shots at the goal.
