15500
I might be in the minority, but I like the 15500 better than the 15510. AP logo and legibility of the Audemars Piguet outweigh the markers and textured dial going to end. It's super stealth in black anyway.

I also prefer the 15510 over the 15500 because of the missing AP logo. Minute track is another plus.

I also prefer the 15500 over the 15510 dial, the applied AP logo is better than without.

15500 > 15510 all day.
I really like the AP logo, and the short indices + minute track on a different level make the watch look a little bit more sporty than the 15510 with the printed minutes on the tapisserie. |

I have a 15500 Blue dial and completely love it. I’d be happy to add a 15510 Green dial for a point of difference but neither is “best” or “better” in my view.

Agree with you. 15500 dial looks much better than 15510 IMHO.

I much prefer having the AP logo on the 15500 but I do prefer the minute track on the 15510…

15510 for me! I have seen (and worn) both IRL and 15510 just looks better, fresher, and more balanced. I do think having AP logo would have been better, but overall, I love the update.

The differences are subtle but on the wrist the 15510 nudges out the 15500 for me. Here’s my take:
1) The newer, thinner bracelet + chamfered lugs on the 15510 present as more elegant and refined on the wrist. The new design language reads much closer to a Jumbo. The outgoing 15500 comes off as a bit clunkier in comparison. While I prefer the older, thicker bracelet on the ROC — the 26331 is more balanced on the wrist than the 26240’s thicker case & thinner bracelet — the lighter, thinner bracelet just “works” on the 15510. Think Jumbo with slightly more wrist-presence. 2) The subtle changes to the dial (longer indices & deletion of the outer track) cause the piece to show more balanced on the wrist — again much closer to its Jumbo roots —without the “dinner plate” effect of the 15500 that has been its main criticism since it replaced the 15400. 3) The dial color of the 15510 is AP’s “bleu nuit nuage”. Hands down this is the showstopper of the 15510. While the color difference is subtle under most lighting conditions, the deeper blue + “depth” of the new dial really pop in certain light. The 15510 really has to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated. 4) Agree I miss the “AP” (perhaps now the only real differentiator unique to the Jumbo). Let me know when Ferrari or Porsche start removing their front bonnet badges. Just my 2 cents. |
