Dalton's magic again (warning: awesome pics)
I went out on a limb about a month ago and aquired a nice '81 5513. The dial and hands were in excellent condition but the case and the bracelet were starting to show the signs of 27 years of wear. I'd seen the posts on TRF showing the work that Dalton has done on other members' watches and thought I'd get get him to just tidy things up. Nothing major, just a bit of TLC.
Well, I got my watch back last night and not normally being someone who's easily lost for words, all I can say is Holy Crap! The standard of Dalton's work is simply stunning and I hope the following pics do justice to what he and his crew have done. If anyone is considering getting their watches tidied up, then Dalton is the man to talk to and I recommend his work without reservation. Before....... Got to be honest, when I saw these I did start to wonder what I'd got myself into.... However, look at the end results....... Speachless..... |

Profoundly fantastic
That laser welding is just amazing and the polishing job is at least as good as Rolex. That 5513 has a killer dial too

Great job done there! Although I have to admit that I like that beaten up style of the untouched 5513.
There is no doubt that Dalton is very skilled! Best, A |

I'm glad to get to see these pictures again. Dalton, that's some of the most stunning restorative work I've ever seen. There's just nothing more beautiful than a brand new vintage watch. It's ready for another 27 years.

WOW..........
When I was looking at the before pictures, thinking to myself "these are pretty deep dings and scratches, just leave it alone. I gives the watch life. Please don't try and polish these out, and make a mess of it!" But the work of this man "Dalton" is just breathtaking. Great job, and great passion, Dalton! |

Great job This is why it is so silly for people to baby their watches, they can always be re-born.
