AP RO 14790st in RG and Tantalum

I was recently offered this watch by a dealer friend of mine and really like the look of it. But I don't know much about the history of the watch including production numbers, rarity, etc. I'm trying to gauge what might be a fair value to offer on the watch. Any thoughts here?

This guide will bring you up to speed with the history of the 14790 range, including the model you linked to: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=737132

The watch you linked to is in very poor condition. The grain on the bezel looks like it's going in the wrong direction. Some of the hex bolts look chewed up and are in the wrong orientation. A full service and refinishing by AP is likely in order, probably around USD 1,500(?) but it would need to be sent in for a proper quote.

I'd be careful with this one...hex bolts in the wrong direction are a red flag to me, of this either being fake or having been serviced by someone other than AP (and honestly, someone who didn't really know what they were doing)

This particular one isn't the one I'm being offered, its off market. This was more for reference! Its in pretty bad shape , this one, I agree
