First Patek 5226g?
I have a fairly good relationship with my ad from purchasing Rolex over the last few years but looking to move into a Patek. Official AD of both brands.
I really like the 5226g - is this a viable first patek purchase or am i dreaming ? THANKS |

I am in a similar situation and have been thinking the same thing.
Really like it on the dark strap

Great 1st ( or 10th) PP watch, great strap options, movement and amazing dial... Go for it.

I like the 5226g for its textured dial although not everyone would agree and find it “unPatek-like”.

I walked in to a Patek AD and had a nice chat with the manager. At first I was asking about some of the complications and an Aquanaut which he said just wasn’t going to happen. They had a 5226g as an exhibition piece and it looks way better in person. I asked for that one and he did make it sound like it was doable and took my information down. Been a few months now with no call but I guess Patek can take years to come through.

Yesterday MODA had the auction for this 5226G, the winner price was $39300.
It seems like a great price and cheaper than MSRP+tax.

I was watching that. There was little interest and thought to bid but ultimately I would prefer the 5326 over the time only 5226. Nonetheless, a great reference it should be available if OP doesn’t mind waiting a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, 5326G is one of the most gorgeous timepiece, the secondary market price would be a lot higher than MSRP.

Though it’s not my first, I think that it makes a perfect first Patek. Easy to wear, versatile, great size, great case. |

The macro shots kind of make the dial look like asphalt. Need to see one IRL.

Looks great! How easy is it to change the buckle when you change straps?
