Brand Pronunciation

Hey team, can I ask for a favor?

Can you please tell me how to pronounce the following below? Please use phonetic spelling and/or rhyming words if you can.
  1. Audemars Piguet
  2. Patek Philippe
  3. Milgauss

I know it's a silly request but I'd really like to know.

I REALLY appreciate it!

I suggest you to go on YouTube and look for interviews of executives for those brands. This is how I figured out how to pronounce JLC (I was torn between the Saxon and the French pronounciation).

As for the Milgauss, I thing Member Clivek gave you good guidance.

always been curious...why do Germans use "V" & "W" when they both sound the same? (e.g. Richard Wagner=Richard 'Vagner', Wiener='Viener' & perhaps the most redundant one of al...Volkswagon=Volks'vagon').

why even bother with a W?

another example...the watch brand Wittnauer='Vittnauer'.

Search YouTube for pronounce, then the name.

Because German V is close to F in this case. Fɔlksva:ɡŋ̍.
And what is wrong with Lʌ(o)ndə(o)n, capital of Brek(x)sit?

I still don't know for sure about the t in Patek. Is it a hard t or soft? I think even Thierry has used both. I prefer the hard t.

thanks for the phonetic clarification. wondering...if a V approximates an F in German, how does a German F differentiate from a 'conventional' American/English F, for now there appears to be either one too many Vs or Fs...pardon my longstanding & obvious ignorance.

I suspect it has something to do with a softer or harder annunciation.

I say hard t as I was told Mr Stern had been heard saying it that way but every watch salesman on earth calls it soft.

Where is khalid? He can ask Thierry for us maybe

The biggest debate is Jaeger-Le coultre...

I think the correct way is: Jayjer lecoot but i heard Yager as well.

Jayjer is how they pronounce it in CNN ads I've seen. Yager is the Germanic pronunciation I think.

A side bar question on this 7 year old thread. OP probably won’t mind.

Is Jocke pronounced Jok or Yo-kay?
