What’s worse to a person of means and taste?

Buying a pair of $2000 runners and the laces are too short and cheap?

Or

Buying a $20k dive watch and the band is too short and cheap?

What say you all!?!?!?!!!!!

Watch. From a $20k watch, what did you expect?

I’d be mad as hell initially if I bought a pair of shoes with laces too short to actually tie them.

Realistically though, I’d rather get new laces for shoes than a new watch band. I’d never expect either to actually be a problem though.

Maybe you’re just a little too big to be buying stuff “off the rack” so to speak?

Both of those purchases are out of my ball park, but in any case, I'd find both situations problematic at any price.

I thought you only bought runners with velcro.

So I'm gonna go with the watchband.

Wouldn't a person of means have 'people' to tend to his show tying needs?

To find the root cause one must ask:

“Why is everything I buy too short to fit around my body parts ?”

I think $2000 "running" shoes aren't really for running, and a $20,000 "dive" watch isn't really for diving. But to answer the question, I'd be more annoyed about the watch.

Sounds like the BIG Guy either needs to go on a diet or a much needed haircut.

Charging for links has been brought up on more than one occasion here, shoe laces have not.

Therefore I'd say the watch. Though I have neither taste nor means, so just an observation from afar.

Weird, but given some of the other threads posted today, I'm starting to actually grow more fonder of this one.

Much diving can be made without getting excessively wet.

The runners wouldn't matter because if I paid $2K for runners I would have then bronzed and mounted and hung on the wall of my study.
The watch - well I have a small wrist so it probably wouldn't be a problem. You can send it to me.

The fact that you think I would wear only $2000 dollar shoes like some commoner offends me.

Laces? You think I tie my own shoes?
