Hard to believe it came from the factory like that.

Nope, never felt the need to, tbh. Like I said, I’ve dealt with this seller a few times before, and I trust him. I haven’t noticed any red flags on this one, even though I know there are “super fakes” out there. I did bring it to an AD to purchase a jubilee for it, and their watchmaker installed it without issue, but didn’t open the back. Honestly, the hair or fiber or whatever it is barely noticeable unless you’re really looking for it… so it doesn’t really bother me, but as others have noted, it could possibly get into the movement so I will be bringing it to an AD tomorrow. Anyway, here’s a pic of it on the wrist.. I can see the hair if I zoom in.

Your pic makes me hope I can get an AR undercoated crystal for my 2020 Pepsi.

Whenever you are asked for the time you can always answer with, "just a hair past nine..."

I'm here all week...

CONGRATULATIONS! You have found half of the winning; "Hair of the Dog" sweepstakes. Should you be lucky enough to find the other half you will win the 2023 Mustang GT.

As for a DNA sample from your seller, to be sure.

And this is exactly why Rolex closes up for a few weeks during party season.

May have worked it’s way in there when the person you bought it from had it “checked” by their watchmaker after they purchased it

I glanced at my BLRO the other day literally just to check the time (not to scrutinize for flaws lol) and I noticed something a little “extra” by the 9:00 hour mark. I assumed it was a smudge so I tried wipe it off, but it didn’t budge. Genuinely curious, I grabbed my loupe (gasp!) and spotted what appears to be a fiber/thread of some sort.

I bought this watch new from a trusted reseller here on TRF back in November and never noticed it until yesterday. It doesn’t bother me tbh, as it’s very difficult to see, but I’ll probably eventually have it looked at by an AD one of these days. But I’m not in a rush since the Warranty card is dated May 2022. Anyway, have you ever casually noticed any “flaws” on your watch? And if so, did it really bother you?

I had the same problem with my hulk. Took it into RSC in NYC, waited 30 minutes and it was resolved. Under warranty so no charge.

My Hulk was new from AD and it had some type of fiber on the dial. So it is possible that it could happen

No…I read about this one several years ago. I think it was article on either Bob’s Watch or Jake’s Rolex. It was a misprint of sorts. Specifically the Tampon (sponge) they use to print the text on the dials, was from a new vendor and of a new material which quickly degraded and began leaving fibers behind on a few dials. This wasn’t noticeable sometimes in the black, but in the next phase they would add Luminova and when the hairs got stuck in there it showed due to the contrast! Apparently it only on happened on about 30 GMT’s.

It’s actually a pretty rare error dial that typically fetches about $10K more, but only if you have Box & Papers Bro! If memory serves me correct, I think it’s affectionately known as the “Harry Globetrotter!” Now if all of this sounds nuts, I couldn’t agree more! It reminds me of this time I got attacked by a pack of Doberman’s, where I literally beat my way out of the pack w/ a stick I was carrying. Except, there was this one..he had locked on to my pants. And no matter how hard I hit him..he simply wouldn’t quit. He just kept pulling my leg, ya’ know…kinda like I’m pulling yours! Hehehe!
