Sub 41, BLRO and… OP41
What do you all think about the OP41? Does it make sense to own considering the other two watches I own? Plain and boring or a complement to the sub/gmt?

yes, if you feel you need to mix up with new and complimentary colours. I have 2 subs and 3 gmts so they cover the iconic watches and 41 ops in tiff blue, orange and yellow when I need a splash of colour and a completely different look to the tool watches

If you were to get the Bright Blue or Green dial it makes sense.

Sub 41, BLRO and… OP41
Nope. Dinner plate sized and boring dial with horribly lazy double batons. DJ41 is a better watch and can be had with smooth bezel and oyster bracelet.

DJ41 is a far better piece. I am not an OP fan.

I had it for a while and then gave it away.
I recommend the Explorer I which has more character. |

I think it would be a nice addition. What color are you looking at?

I love my Coral Red OP41, it provides contrast to my BLRO and black Daytona. If your proposed OP is any color other than black it will complement your other two, a black dial would be too similar.

I think it would go perfect in the collection and you could choose whatever dial you fancy to add some further variety to it all

I have all 3 of these watches. They can absolutely all be part of a collection. They’re all unique and different in their own way. I love the simplicity of the OP 41 and much prefer the visual aesthetics vs. the DJ41. I feel like the smooth bezel on the DJ is bloated and looks odd. I like the thinner, more rounded bezel of the OP.
I’ll post some pics later today.

Yes, 100%. The OP41 will compliment any Rolex watch. The OP41 is a great under the radar watch that has a very simple/modern feel to it. Has the same movement and quality as any other Rolex.

Nothing makes sense in a community of Rolex fanatics. Just buy what you like and enjoy the hell out of it.

I'd say depends on dial color. Also depends on which Sub you have IMO.

Yeah I think an op41 would be a good addition. I would get the op41 for the pop of color, but since you are considering silver dial, DJ41 might be a good choice too. Good luck!

I have a green dial OP41 as well as the other watches you have and is enjoy it. It’s a fun watch. The green is subtle but pops in the right lighting.

I think it would go fine, but if I was in your situation, I'd personally be thinking about a DJ with a white dial, as I think it would be a solid compliment and offer something very different.
The 114300 with a white dial would also be a solid addition, but the current price of it is a problem. But as it's your watch, you should go for what you like the most. |

There's definitely room for an OP in your collection, however, I would go with the 36mm case. I realise that I say that without knowing your wrist size, but a 36mm oyster case feels "just right" and I think it would complement your collection nicely.
