In Moscow G-wagen has a negative reputation

What a car! extremely impressed! I'm not much of a car guy, but the technology in this thing is just insane.

It drives great and certainly makes sense in comparison to some of the other options I considered.

In response to some of the negative comments, I do find the car aesthetically pleasing, have since I was a kid and yes, I have a tiny wiener. LOL!

it's awesome. Had it been a better vehicle for the kids in the back i would have gotten one. The Range Rover fit the family better. For a second vehicle... thats tempting, but expensive

Comical that anyone wearing a watch worth more than a few thousand dollars could possibly pass judgment on someone driving one of these.

Comical. But typical.

You going to pull the trigger?

The redesign, based on certain articles I’ve read, revolved around createung more space in back.

Hard to beat the RR. In any case. But I’d imagine this would suit most pretty well.

rather have a small Johnson and your watch collection than a big one and a citizen

After all I’m already married so what is there to lose.

I share your thoughts. Thousands if not tens of thousands on our wrists and yet spending big money on a vehicle makes no sense.

2019 GL550 lease is ~$2600 a month. Zero down. So AMG probably ~$3K.

When I bought my SLC, I was talking to the sales person and told him "that G-Wagon on the floor must cost $150K." It was one of those matte black ones. He said "Add 100K to that figure" Then he added that it was already bought by a guy that had numerous G-Wagons. $250K, jeez.

Ohhhh nice! I see you got it! Did u pay msrp? I have a 16 g63 and a 19 g63 incoming. Can’t wait.

I was going to order a RR Autobiography if my dealer was playing the markup game. That rear reclining and massaging seat was tempting but nothing out there like a Gwagon.

I agree. I love my 2018, there is certainly an emotional component involved when you drive these beasts which weighs in on the purchase decision. There really is nothing like them on the road.

Um, what? A GL lease isn't even half of that. MB has their normal advertised lease (which no one pays this much even) at like $860 per month for 36 months with $6800 down. Putting $0 down would add less than $200 per month onto that monthly payment.

I sure hope you aren't paying that, bud....

I think Laszlo is quite right. MB did a major adjustment on the lease rates, in particular a huge adjustment on the residual values which killed the leasing rate, especially for the GLS. We had a 17 GLS450 and it was OK money wise then I had just priced a 2019 and was blown away on how much more the monthly payments went up on a lease.

ill be back in Houston in early april for a week so im going to test drive one, probably not the AMG though

this could be trouble. Still love the RR though, so that isn't going anywhere.

Those are true rates, no joke. Maybe you can squeeze a little more but that’s pretty much the baseline.

The ‘L’ is a typo. This is for G550. Sorry for the confusion.

GLS550 lease is ~$1300 a month zero down at 42/10.

The 550s and AMG have pretty high MF.

MF is based mostly on units. If you produce low units such as the 550 and especially AMGs, the MF is much, much higher.

HUGE congrats John on such an awesome ride!!!

My favorite thing about this vehicle is that MB has a $2,200 option for it to increase the speed from 137mph to 149 mph with a disclaimer "Obey local speed and traffic laws."

I’m talking GL, which is what you quoted originally. The G and GL are two completely different cars.
